The scenic byway, US Highway 40, between Shoshoni and Thermopolis, Wyoming winds through this wonder, which includes the Wind River Indian Reservation. These rock walls rise 2500 feet into the sky and are some of the oldest rock formations in the world, dating to the Precambrian period, more than 2.9 billion years ago!
